Disaster Relief Fund
Contributions to the Florida YMCA Disaster Fund will be directed to Florida communities most impacted by a disaster of any kind. Currently, we are responding to the needs created by Hurricane Ian. One donation can be made to benefit multiple communities or directed to a specific need or location/county. To direct your gift to a specific location/county, be sure to note that in the "comment" section of the linked donation page. Make your gift by using a credit card and clicking the “Make a Donation” or by sending a check to the address below. Again, specific requests can be made by including the information in the memo line.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP
In the aftermath of a storm, there are many ways to help in the response and recovery.
DONATE TO THE FLORIDA YMCA DISASTER FUND
The Florida YMCA Disaster Fund will assist impacted communities in Florida. 100% of these funds will go directly to the communities that need it the most.
DONATE TO THE NATIONAL EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE FUND
YMCAs are only as strong as the people that run them. The National YMCA Employee Assistance Fund (EAF) is seeking to raise funds for YMCA staff and alumni (retirees) in need through donations to the YMCA Emergency Assistance Fund. Your gift will help families with medical bills, temporary housing or storm damage repair not covered by insurance.
DONATE SUPPLIES
Supply donations are always needed after a storm of this caliber. The Florida State Alliance of YMCAs is in the process of coordinating supply drives across the YMCAs in Florida. For YMCAs that can assist, the Alliance will help coordinate transportation if needed to the appropriate Ys in need.
Supplies: diapers, flashlights and batteries, mops, hand sanitizers, fans, cleaning wipes, lysol wipes, electrical cords, disposable gloves, mosquito repellant
Food and Water: Canned chicken, canned tuna, tuna packets, baby formula, canned goods, rice, pasta, beans, tortillas - possibly with low sodium labels, whole-grain cereals, oats, brown rice and 100 perfect fruit and vegetable juices
Please e-mail info@floridaymcas.org to coordinate pick up times.
DONATE TIME
As the disaster response and recovery continue, there may be volunteer opportunities that arise. The local YMCAs are in the process of determining those needs and will communicate them out as they are identified.
