Safety Around Water Delivery Grant

We are pleased to announce the 2022-2023 State Drowning Prevention Grant Opportunities. There will be two opportunities this year with one application for both: 

  1. Drowning Prevention Program Delivery Grant - This grant is for the conduction of Safety Around Water(SAW)/Swim Lessons for all with more weight given to underserved and under resourced areas. This grant can be applied for as an association or by an individual branch. (NOTE: This application is very similar to the Y-USA Swim Access Grant).
  2. Drowning Prevention Education Grant - This grant is for education for your participants, members and community. This funding can be requested along with the grant to deliver swim lessons. Activities may include the land-based safety around water curriculum, CPR/First Aid classes, lifeguard and swim instructor classes, presenting at schools and/or to organizations like HOAs, PTA/Os, Rotary Clubs, etc.

Application is due in December 7th, 2022 end of day and will be submitted via e-mail to Gina Peterson.
