Y-Corps
Y-CORPS is a Gen Z global service-learning development experience that activates on building a sustainable planet. The program is a Gen Z peer-led initiative that requires a high level of drive, determination, dedication, and desire for a sustainable and just world. The Y-CORPS blueprint is based on the YMCA's operational framework including resource mobilization and more.
AS A Y-CORPS AGENT YOU ARE COMMITTING TO:
- Representing Generation Z to high standard by exemplifying the Y's Core Values, Cause, and Mission.
- Investing $700 (spread out over time period) into the program that is allocated to the Y-CORPS operating budget.
- Practicing philanthropic efforts to hit fundraising and resource goals determined by the Y-CORPS cohort.
- Dedicating 2-4 hours a month in the planning, preparing, and executing of the Y-CORPS strategy.
- Adventure into communites local and abroad through our Y-CORPS excursions 3-4 times within the sixteen month journey.
- Presenting an open mind to learning and exploring the elements of global JEDI and how it results in social impact locally and globally.
INTERESTED IN APPLYING?
The application requires uploads of:
- Personal Statement Essay (min 500 words)Prompt Question: How do you incorporate global diversity, equity, and inclusion into your lifestyle that advances our world?
- Gen Z Peer's Letter of Recommendation
- Teacher, Advisor, Coach, or Other's Letter of Recommendation
- OPTIONAL Additional Letter of Recommendation
Y-Corps Total Cost: $700, (spread over a period of time) Need-based scholarships are available to interested participants.
If we reach capacity, a waiting list will be opened for additional participants. Your application submission will be reviewed by a selection committee and if chosen, you will be invited to learn more about the experience. You must be a Gen Zer in the U.S within the ages 15-21.
